VSFS Digital Media Engagement Internship
From August 2023 - May 2024, I was able to be a part of the leading role in applying AI tools in content creation for the VA News website and associated outlets. The primary focus will be Prompt Engineering, a burgeoning discipline that aims to guide AI in generating accurate and insightful content. Below is the following project that I was involved with that used AI technology to complete.
In this year long internship, I was able to meet a team of individuals to use AI technology to help researchers and writers start blogs on the VA News website. Many are afraid of AI technology and fear that it may take jobs. Though, this section for the department of veteran affairs, aimed to showcase veterans as effective as possible. There can be so much misinformation when it comes to researching veterans online. It takes many hours to develop a case for each veteran over the years. Using AI tools, we can show that we can minimize the amount of time it takes and give writers more time to add informative content.
The project above gives a tutorial to new Prompt Engineers on how to use AI technology. This section in the department is very new so it helps to give some guidelines to follow. I was in charge of create the PowerPoint and gather the info accordingly into the PowerPoint. I used three different types of AI tools to complete it and asked others to review it.
