About Me
I am a graduating senior from Old Dominion University with a Double Major in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I started as a freshman at Old Dominion University and have been here for five years to graduate in May 2024.
I started as a Computer Engineering major for the first two semesters. A friend of mine at the time convinced me to do a double for the same amount of time. I planned on finishing in 4 years, so being told I could complete it with a double in the same amount of time, I jumped on board real fast.
As the years went by, I started to realize how difficult of a task it was to complete both degrees. Many late nights and small breakdowns, though I had the love and support from my friends and family. It helped that many shared the same struggles as I was. I started to grow more interested in Electrical engineering than in Computer engineering the more courses I took.
In the end, I am in my final semester feeling very proud and exhausted in this journey through my college career. I have met many people, experienced much of what ODU had to offer, and know I made the best of what I could.
With this passion for Electrical and Computer Engineering, I will be following the power system field in Dominion Energy up in Richmond, VA. I will be in the Department of System Protection Automation as a Transmission Engineer. I can't wait to start my career as an engineer and end my college career on a good note.
